Talking a lot these days...

Nana left back for Toronto today and Tante TT is staying for a few extra days and returning back to TO on Monday. Memere also comes in on Monday so it's really just a change of guards.

Up at 7:35 this morning and in great form. Wanted to eat full out after a little playing around on the piano. Didn't say a peep throughout the huge bowl of cereal and the whole toast. I was hungry.

Lunch time was fun since we went to visit Kim at Ohio House. There was a lot of activity going on there because of a guy who was sitting outside the door sleeping until the police came and moved him along. I had a huge appetite again for my usual, egg with cheese and cinnamon toast!

Right now I'm working on a 2 and 1/2 hour nap and Dad's waiting for me to wake up so he figured he'd update my blog.

Yesterday, we all visited Aunt Pat at the marina city towers and I wore my brown shoes. We took the train there which was very very exciting. Dad got off at a different stop than us because he had to go to work. All that walking though gave my right foot a blister in those shoes. It was sore and the rest of day I just couldn't keep on any of my boots or shoes. I didn't like the bath either since it stung my foot going into the warm water.

Aunt Pat served us a coffee cake and I loved it. Mom did too since I think she had 4 pieces (editor: this means 3 since Charlie usually counts 1,2,4 - he hasn't mastered that 3 yet).

Anyways maybe we'll go to the zoo this afternoon or just take a train ride. I'm not sure yet but since Dad slept for a long time with me I figured he has the energy!

Nearing Christmas...

A normal wake up time this morning for Charlie, he was up at 7:30 a.m. He was super wet this morning and must have been weighed down by it all ;-)

Good and hungry I got him his usual bowl of wheat cherios with a sprinkle of raisons and some raison toast. It's his morning staple and I join him with my own raison crunch.

Last night I had burnt his Little Einstein video onto the hard drive and was able to pull up the french version real fast for him to watch while I got breaky ready. That's one of the main reasons I got the new Vista Media Center was to get all his shows on the hard drive in order to pull up french shows as fast and painlessly as normal recorded shows. It was just too easy to throw on english shows recorded from the TV than to put in a dvd and select the french menuing system (a five minute ordeal with all that FBI gunk and menus we are forced to watch). While I'm on the topic I'm glad now I'm ripping those DVD's because I hate the way the force you to look at previews and their advertising for 5 minutes before we can get into the show. Next I've got to figure out how to burn just the french show on that hole DVD since it takes up a lot of space for all the rest of that stuff...but I digress.

After breakfast, Charlie, Tante TT and I went to the Kohls stored which is attached to the Best Buy so we were good. He held on to the Cars DVD the whole time we were in there and he cried when I pulled him away from the portable phones, he loves to hold two up to his ears at a time. I'm teaching him to say Bonjour and Mushi Mushi (Japanese way of answering the phone) and man, that's funny how he says that. It's not really close but it sure is funny.

He slept for two and half hours today and I joined him in the last hour of that myself. Well rested and ready for the rest of the day.

Turns out he stayed at home with Eileen while Na Na and Tee Tee and I went shopping on the mag mile. We didn't have lots of time since Eileen and I were meeting Pete and LeDawn Gries for super on the mag mile at 5pm.

Now Charlie's asleep in his crib listening to the ocean waves on his little wave machine. Good Night Sleep Tight.

3 days before his 2nd Christmas

Today was a real funny insident that was so funny to me that it gave me inspiration to kick off this blog since I felt lots of other stories kinda got lost over time and figured this is one way to go!

It was after work and Charlie and I were wrestling on the floor as usual. I'm pretty rough with him and he's a very sturdy boy so he enjoy's it.

At one point he noticed my birthmark on my right arm and said "Dada, bo bo" and he pointed to it, we wrestled a few more seconds until I realized what he was doing and he looked at me and said "Dada, ... bo bo" and he pointed to my arm and said his favorite saying "oh..there it is" and he leaned over and kissed it.

I'm sure the kissing part comes from his recent needle shots where we would kiss it all better and he was doing the same thing for my birth mark.

Not a very good story for everyone but to me it was just a new step for him that I find fascinating to watch him as he progresses along with his communication and observation skills.

Start of Charlie's Blog...what took us so long?

I can't believe we haven't started a blog any sooner for Charlie. Man, he's going to wonder about us one day when he's able read ;-)

Well, here it goes, Eileen and I will try and keep this up to date with fun stuff about what's happening with Charlie.
