Skating in Chicago

Pretty much 10 years I've been in Chicago and it was the first time we've been skating here. Actually, it was the first time for all 3 of us!

We went to Millenium park and strutted our stuff. It was the first time Eileen's been on her skates (yes, they're old and don't actually fit anymore) for many many years. Charlie loved it and after 30 minutes or so we all got called off the ice so the zamboni could clean the ice. Now thats as exciting as skating in itself.

We had front row seats to the zamboni and Charlie loved watching every minute of it. The folks around us where entertained by his strap on double skates but everyone was excited to get back on the ice.

After the zamboni was amazing, no snow and very slippery ice, go figure. We bummed around on the ice for a while then went to the closest pizza place for dinner. It was a great time out and he slept like a log that night!
