Wow, it was the first time on a flight where we felt we didn't need to entertain Charlie the whole route. He's matured to the point where he looks after himself for the most part and watches movies and plays card games but really a totally new way of travelling now. He's really changed.
What keeps him busy for a surprising amount of time is the airplane emergency exit instructions. He studies it very carefully.
We no longer bring the car seat on now as well and either check it in at the luggage or on the way home we did it at the gate check since he was asleep in it and we didn't need to get him out until the final security check.
Even though the aircraft was full to capacity it still didn't feel too busy and there was no traffic to the aiport in Tampa nor at the Chicago end. Strange, but welcomed.
We had a great time at Busch gardens but I'd say Charlie and the pool is the highlight. He just couldn't get enough of it.
Of course, he was sad leaving Pitou and after this visit it sure is reinforcing the fact that we need a dog. He things they are "très mignon".
He had a blast and will need a day to recouperate for sure, as we all will!
Happy Birthday Eileen!
