OK. We decided to give Pinnochio another shot. This time we made it past the first time we attempted to watch it but got to another very upsetting part.
This was when the circus master kidnapped Pinnochio to keep him and not allow him to go back to his father. It was a very sad part with rain and thunder and all. Charlie looked over at me and said, Dad, you'd never let me taken away like this right?
Wow, that was powerful. My only thought was over the years hearing on the news how kids were actually kidnapped for real in this world and make me as sad as he was. That was a very sinking feeling but of course, I reasured him that never this would happen.
